ITU uses the Canvas learning management system (LMS). Our Canvas LMS is called MAX, which stands for Maximizing the Academic eXperience. MAX was Pilot tested in thirteen courses during the Summer 2019 trimester, and all classes from Fall 2019 onward are being taught through MAX.
If you receive a message to access your courses, follow the link to the MAX platform. You can also access MAX directly at https://itumax.instructure.com. If you are logging in to MAX for the first time, your username will be your complete ITU email address, and your default password will be your complete ITU email address with your year of birth appended to the end. For example:

If you already have a login for ITU's MAX system, your credentials have not changed.
MAX technical support is available, too. It's a good idea to search the Canvas guides when you are having a problem, and the full student guide is here. However, if you cannot find the answer to your question, you can submit a ticket:
- Click the "Submit a request" link at the top of this page.
- Select "Technology Support" from the drop-down menu, and fill out the support request form.
- Provide a detailed description of your problem.
- Select "MAX" from the "Request Type" menu near the bottom of the form.
